Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Description

We are seeking dedicated and skilled Registered Nurses for a float pool position supporting multiple medical surgical units within a large facility. This position involves working in various specialties including neurology, cardiac, bariatric, general medicine, surgery, oncology, and transplant units.

Position Details

• 8-week assignment, starting on February 1
• Combination of 8 and 12-hour shifts
• Rotating days and nights, with every other weekend and holiday required
• No more than three days of requested time off (RTO) will be accepted
• No call required

Responsibilities

• Administer patient care across multiple specialties, including telemetry monitoring and blood transfusions
• Support and participate in unit-specific procedures such as 12 lead EKGs and administering nebulizers
• Maintain patient ratios averaging 4:1 on days and 6:1 on nights
• Assignments may be given up to two hours before shifts

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse license required
• Minimum of 3 years of related work experience
• Prior travel nursing experience is required
• Certification in CPR (AHA) and ACLS (AHA) is necessary
• Basic computer skills and experience with web-based applications
• Familiarity with Epic electronic health records is required
• Experience in a teaching hospital and specialized knowledge in relevant areas is preferred
• Level I trauma experience is required

Additional Information

Weekly orientation sessions are held every Monday, excluding holidays. Nurses can wear any color scrubs for their shifts.
