Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to join the Medical-Surgical/Telemetry unit at Kaiser Permanente in Los Angeles, CA. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality, patient-centered care to adult patients with a wide range of medical and surgical conditions while continuously monitoring cardiac rhythms in a fast-paced acute care environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans.
• Monitor patients with cardiac conditions using telemetry equipment and recognize rhythm changes.
• Administer medications, IV therapies, blood products, and treatments as prescribed.
• Perform comprehensive patient assessments and monitor vital signs.
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare teams to coordinate patient care.
• Respond appropriately to changes in patient condition and medical emergencies.
• Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans, medications, and discharge instructions.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR).
• Ensure compliance with hospital policies, infection control standards, and patient safety protocols.

Required Qualifications

• Active California Registered Nurse (RN) License.
• Minimum of 2 years of recent Med-Surg/Telemetry experience in an acute care hospital.
• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

Required Certifications

• BLS (AHA)
• ACLS (AHA)

Active California Registered Nurse (RN) License. Minimum of 2 years of recent Med-Surg/Telemetry experience in an acute care hospital.
