Contract | 20 Weeks | Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts (19:00–07:30) | Every Other Weekend Required | Holidays Required as Scheduled

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on an orthopedic/medical-surgical unit serving patients undergoing joint replacements, fracture repairs, spine procedures (ACDF, fusions, decompressions), and general med/surg diagnoses
• Operate and monitor specialized equipment including PCA pumps, Buck's traction, overbed trapeze, SCD sleeves/pumps, foot pumps, Hoyer lift, incentive spirometry, Sara Stedy, and walkers
• Document and manage patient care using EPIC EMR
• Float within specialty and to lower-acuity areas as needed
• Participate in holiday scheduling as assigned

Required Qualifications

• Active Maryland RN license or valid Compact RN license at time of submission
• BLS certification (AHA only)
• NIH Stroke Scale certification
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience; first-time travelers accepted with strong relevant experience including orthopedic and/or spine background
• Must maintain permanent address at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience in orthopedic nursing including joint replacement and spine surgery patient populations
• Familiarity with EPIC EMR
• Comfort with floating within scope and across acuity levels with no scheduling restrictions
