Registered Nurse – Medical Surgical / Telemetry (Observation Unit)

Schedule / Job Type

Contract (13 Weeks) | Full-Time | Onsite | Day Shift (3x12 Hours, 7:00–19:30) | 36 Hours per Week

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a Medical Surgical / Telemetry Observation setting with a 1:5 nurse-to-patient ratio
• Perform accurate and timely documentation using EPIC electronic health records
• Float within specialty and to lower acuity units as needed
• Adhere to scheduled weekend rotation (every other weekend) and work holidays as they fall per schedule
• Participate in onboarding compliance requirements including labs and required modules prior to start date

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse license in the state of Maryland or a valid Compact RN license at time of submission
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience (first-time travelers accepted)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification – American Heart Association only
• NIH Stroke Scale certification
• Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) certification – The Calm Every Storm online version is the only acceptable online vendor

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification – American Heart Association preferred
• Prior travel nursing experience in a Medical Surgical or Telemetry setting
