Key Responsibilities
- Contribute professional and clinical nursing knowledge in the provision and management of patient care as part of an interdisciplinary team
- Deliver safe, high-quality care to Medical Surgical and Telemetry patients during night shift hours
- Administer and monitor drip medications including heparin, cardizem, nitro, non-DKA insulin, and amiodarone
- Accurately document patient care activities and assessments using Epic EMR
- Float within the same discipline across local campuses as needed
- Participate in required holiday coverage, including one to two of the designated summer holidays
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) state license (Illinois license required)
- Current BLS certification (American Heart Association)
- Current ACLS certification (American Heart Association)
- Current NIHSS certification
- Proficiency with Epic EMR (required)
- Valid driver's license required
Preferred Experience / Skills
- At least one prior travel nursing contract completed
- Experience with telemetry monitoring and management of cardiac drips
- Skills checklist completed within the past year
