Registered Nurse – Medical Surgical / Telemetry, Float Pool

Contract | Nights | 10-hour shifts | 36 hours/week | Every Other Weekend, Every Other Holiday
Key Responsibilities
Float across multiple acute care units including medical-surgical, orthopedics, urology, neurology, GYN, cardiology/telemetry, surgery, and cardio-thoracic
Deliver direct patient care at an average ratio of 5:1, adapting quickly to the needs of each assigned unit
Independently read and interpret telemetry strips; pass an on-site telemetry exam on Day 1 with a score of 84% or better (two attempts permitted)
Administer and manage IV therapy in accordance with unit protocols
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams across departments to ensure continuity and quality of patient care
Maintain availability most Fridays as required; extended time-off requests are not accommodated, and no more than 5 days of RTO may be requested
Required Qualifications
Active RN license in Massachusetts (or compact equivalent, if applicable)
BLS certification required
ACLS certification required
NIHSS certification required
Minimum 4 years of recent acute care experience; some stepdown experience required for night shift placement
Must have at least one recent, successfully completed travel contract
Proficiency with Meditech and telemetry monitoring
Candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility will be subject to a local pay rate
