Key Responsibilities
Coordinate and deliver patient care utilizing the nursing process, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care in a hospital setting
Demonstrate competence in care of patients with complex problems, addressing physical, psychosocial, educational, and safety aspects of care
Assess and anticipate discharge needs of individual patients and families, consulting appropriate resources for complex care issues
Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to evaluate patient care, communicate relevant information, and promote continuity of care
Organize and prioritize care according to patient and family needs, utilizing healthcare organization standards, policies, and procedures
Participate in unit goals, performance improvement activities, and cost-effective care initiatives while promoting a safe, clean, and secure environment
Required Qualifications
Current Registered Nurse licensure in the state of North Carolina
Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Provider certification from AHA or ARC
Nursing Diploma, ADN, or ASN from an accredited school of nursing
Minimum of one (1) year of nursing experience
Preferred Experience / Skills
BSN or MSN from an accredited school of nursing
