Contract | 13 Weeks | Night Shift (3x12 Hours, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a 12-bed Medical Surgical/Telemetry unit with a 1:4 patient ratio
• Manage and monitor patients with diagnoses including respiratory illnesses, renal illnesses, diabetes, sepsis, cellulitis, infections, heart failure, sickle cell, and cystic fibrosis
• Utilize Epic electronic health record system for documentation and clinical workflows
• Float within scope of practice as needed per facility float policy
• Work every other weekend and 2 out of 3 winter holidays as required by unit scheduling

Required Qualifications

• Active Virginia RN license (pending license accepted; must be in hand by the Wednesday before start date)
• BLS certification required
• Epic experience required
• Nursys verification required at time of submission
• Must adhere to facility float policy, floating within scope of practice as needed
• Must live at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible (applicable to select units per facility policy)

Preferred Experience / Skills

• BSN preferred
• Prior experience in a Medical Surgical or Telemetry setting
• Familiarity with managing complex, multi-diagnosis patient populations
