Registered Nurse – Medical Surgical / Telemetry

Location

Columbia, SC | Acute Care Hospital

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Nights | 3x12-hour shifts (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a Medical Surgical / Telemetry unit with a 1:5 nurse-to-patient ratio
• Participate in every-other-weekend rotation as required
• Fulfill on-call obligations as needed; on-call requirements are rare and limited to the first 4 hours when applicable
• Float within scope to like units or sister facilities to meet staffing needs as required
• Document patient care accurately using Epic electronic health records
• Be aware that during hurricane season (June–November), contractors may be assigned to emergency response teams

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of Medical Surgical / Telemetry RN experience
• Active South Carolina RN license or Multi-State/Compact RN license (candidates with a pending SC license may be considered with proof of application)
• BLS certification required
• ACLS certification required
• Epic electronic health records experience required
• Must live at least 60 miles from the facility to be eligible; locals may be considered on a case-by-case basis

Preferred Experience / Skills

• NIHSS certification preferred
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
