Job Title

Registered Nurse (RN) – Medical Surgical / Telemetry Float Pool

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Night Shift (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | Onsite

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care across a float pool covering Medical-Surgical/Telemetry and specialty units including Cardiac, Neuro, Oncology, Rehab, Renal, Bariatrics, Ortho, Trauma, and ED Observation
  • Manage an adult and geriatric patient population with diagnoses spanning cardiac, neurological, orthopedic, oncological, renal, post-surgical, gynecological, psychiatric/detox, ENT, and general medicine conditions
  • Titrate Heparin drips and operate respiratory therapy equipment including vents, CPAP, and BiPAP as needed
  • Maintain nurse-to-patient ratios of 1:5–6 based on acuity, with support from nurse aides on unit
  • Adhere to a leadership-set 6-week schedule, remaining flexible to fill scheduling gaps; fulfill 6–9 weekend shifts per 6-week block and participate in holiday rotation as requested
  • Complete a 1–2 day unit-specific orientation with a preceptor; must be on-site for the full week of orientation
Required Qualifications
  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license valid in the state of Colorado
  • Minimum of 2 years of Medical-Surgical/Telemetry nursing experience
  • Current BLS and ACLS certifications
  • Demonstrated ability to titrate Heparin drips
  • Experience working with adult and geriatric populations across a broad range of diagnoses
  • Valid driver's license required
Preferred Experience / Skills
  • Prior experience in a neuro nursing environment
  • Experience in a float pool or multi-specialty setting
  • Comfort floating to varying acuity levels including PCU/Stepdown or low-acuity ICU holds
