Provide direct inpatient nursing care for patients with rehabilitation needs including CVA, TBI, ABI, spinal cord injuries, neurological diagnoses, and generalized debility
Perform vital signs assessment, medication reconciliation, patient health questionnaire and allergy history documentation, and interpretation of laboratory results
Execute dressing changes and set up aseptic and sterile procedure trays
Conduct specimen collection including capillary draws, phlebotomy, throat cultures, and urine clean catch, with proper specimen labeling
Manage telephone triage and pharmacy calls including patient refill requests
Float between health system campuses as needed per facility policy
Required Qualifications
Active Registered Nurse (RN) license – must be in hand at time of submission
Minimum 1 year of acute care nursing experience – first-time travelers will not be considered
Current BLS certification
Proficiency with EPIC electronic health records – required
Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility location – no local candidates accepted
Must be able to pass a Pass/Fail EKG exam during compliance (2 attempts allowed; no study materials provided)
Preferred Experience / Skills
Acute care rehabilitation nursing experience strongly preferred
Experience caring for post-stroke, post-aneurysm, or post-operative surgical rehabilitation patients
Familiarity with inpatient rehab department workflows and specialized rehabilitation patient populations
