Registered Nurse – Medical Surgical / Telemetry

Schedule / Job TypeContract | Full-Time | Onsite | Days | 3x12-Hour Shifts (7:00 AM – 7:30 PM) | Every Other Weekend | Holidays as Needed
Key Responsibilities- Provide direct nursing care to a primarily Medical Surgical patient population, including observation patients, surgical patients, and surgical observation cases
- Manage and monitor patients with respiratory conditions, diabetes (including new diabetics and complication-related cases), and general medical surgical diagnoses
- Support palliative, end-of-life, hospice, and psychiatric observation patients as appropriate
- Utilize EPIC electronic medical records system for documentation and patient management
- Float to other campus locations within the health system as needed
- Adhere to a zero-tolerance policy for tardiness and unexcused absences
Required Qualifications- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license — must be in hand at time of submission
- Minimum of 2 years of RN experience required
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
- Must pass a compliance EKG exam during onboarding (2 attempts allowed)
- EPIC EMR experience required
- Current driver's license required
Preferred Experience / Skills- Previous experience as a Charge RN
