Contract | 13 Weeks | Nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | 36 Hours/Week Guaranteed | Every Other Weekend Required

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a 24-bed Telemetry unit with a 4:1 patient-to-nurse ratio, serving a generalized cardiac population ranging from young adults to elderly adults.
• Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms and telemetry data using Life Pak, Zoll, and Masimo equipment.
• Manage common cardiac diagnoses and treatments including chest pain, A-fib, CHF, and pre- and post-care for cardiac catheterizations (groin and radial approaches) and VATS procedures.
• Document patient care accurately using the Cerner electronic health record system.
• Occasionally float to IMCU, NPCU, and/or Surgical units as needed.
• Maintain current BLS and ACLS certifications throughout the duration of the assignment.

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license with eligibility to work in North Carolina.
• BLS certification (required)
• ACLS certification (required)
• Minimum 2 years of experience as a Registered Nurse in a Telemetry or Medical Surgical Telemetry setting.
• Associate degree in Nursing (minimum required education).
• Hands-on experience with Life Pak, Zoll, and Masimo equipment.
• Must reside at least 60 miles from the facility to be eligible for travel rates.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with the Cerner electronic health record system.
• Background in cardiac-focused nursing care, including catheterization recovery and arrhythmia management.
• Comfortable working in a collaborative, family-oriented unit culture.
