Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a 24-bed Medical Surgical/Telemetry unit operating under a virtual integrated care (VIC) nursing model at a nurse-to-patient ratio of 6:1
• Monitor and care for patients with common diagnoses including CHF, diabetes, pneumonia, CKD, and general med/surg telemetry conditions
• Read and interpret telemetry strips independently; telemetry monitor techs are present on the unit to assist with monitoring
• Manage patients requiring respiratory support equipment including CPAP, BiPAP, and high-flow oxygen
• Float to all med/surg units as needed
• Work assigned schedule as directed by unit manager, including every other weekend and required holidays

Required Qualifications

• Active and unrestricted RN license
• Ability to read and interpret telemetry/cardiac strips
• Strong communication and time management skills
• Ability to work assigned schedule; block scheduling is not available
• Willingness to float to other med/surg units as required

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior experience in a Medical Surgical and/or Telemetry setting
• Familiarity with caring for patients on CPAP, BiPAP, or high-flow oxygen
• Experience working in a virtual integrated care or technology-supported nursing environment
