Contract (13 or 26 weeks available) | Night Shift | 3x12 Hours (18:45–07:15) | Every other weekend coverage expected | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on an inpatient Medical Surgical/Telemetry unit with a focus on stroke, TIA, and higher-acuity med-surg patients, serving adult and geriatric populations
• Manage and care for patients with diagnoses including stroke/TIA, seizure, syncope, pneumonia, chest pain, dialysis, acute kidney failure, post heart cath, respiratory failure, encephalopathy, CHF, and sepsis
• Perform and support specialized procedures including peritoneal dialysis and continuous bladder irrigation
• Utilize Omnicell medication system and EPIC EMR for documentation and medication management
• Maintain staffing ratios of 1:6 on night shift and uphold a strong commitment to patient experience
• Float to other units and/or campuses as needed based on census and demonstrated competencies

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Tennessee
• ACLS certification required
• BLS certification required
• NIHSS certification required
• Minimum 1 year of recent experience in a Medical Surgical/Telemetry unit
• Minimum 1 year of EPIC EMR experience required
• Prior travel nursing experience required — first-time travelers are not eligible
• Must reside more than 100 miles from the facility to be eligible at full consideration; candidates residing 50–99.9 miles from the contracted campus may be considered with adjusted terms; candidates residing under 50 miles are not eligible

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience caring for stroke and TIA patients in an inpatient setting
• Familiarity with peritoneal dialysis and continuous bladder irrigation procedures
• Experience with Omnicell medication management systems
