Job Title
Registered Nurse – Medical Surgical / Telemetry
LocationOmaha, NE
Schedule / Job TypeContract (13 or 26 week options available) | Days, 4x12-hour shifts (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM) | 36 or 48 hour per week options | Onsite
Key Responsibilities- Provide direct patient care on Medical Surgical and/or Telemetry units, including specialty areas such as Neuro, Ortho, Oncology, Trauma, Cardiac, Transplant, and Observation
- Administer and manage IV drips as required across all assigned units
- Accurately document patient care and clinical information using EPIC electronic health records
- Float within scope of practice to meet facility staffing needs, including potential assignment to a sister campus approximately 16 minutes from the main campus
- Collaborate with an interdisciplinary care team including CNAs, care techs, transport team, paramedics, and LPNs where assigned
- Fulfill weekend and holiday shift requirements as outlined by the facility
Required Qualifications- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Nebraska (pending license accepted; if not in hand at time of submission, start date will be scheduled six weeks out)
- Minimum 2 years of RN experience in a large, urban hospital setting
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
- Proficiency with EPIC charting system required
- IV drip administration competency required
- Must reside more than 100 miles from the facility (local candidates not accepted)
Preferred Experience / Skills- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification strongly preferred
- Experience at a Level I Academic Medical Center
- Background in specialty areas such as Neuroscience, Oncology, Trauma, Cardiac, or Solid Organ Transplant
