Registered Nurse – Medical Surgical / Telemetry

Onancock, VA

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Nights | 4x12-Hour Shifts (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a 36-bed telemetry and surgical floor
• Monitor and interpret telemetry data, responding appropriately to changes in patient condition
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to develop and implement patient care plans
• Accurately document all patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes using EPIC
• Float to other units as needed based on facility staffing requirements
• Complete NIH and stroke education requirements as mandated for acute care RN roles

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license; Virginia license in hand at time of submittal or valid compact license
• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience required
• Specialty experience in Medical Surgical / Telemetry within the last year required
• BLS certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) required
• ACLS and PALS certifications through the American Heart Association (AHA) required
• Proficiency with EPIC electronic health records required

Preferred Experience / Skills

• NIH stroke scale certification or willingness to complete upon hire
• Prior travel nursing experience with familiarity of travel compliance expectations
• One supervisory professional reference available at time of submittal
