Provide direct bedside nursing care for Medical Surgical / Telemetry patients with a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:5–6
Monitor and interpret telemetry, including dysrhythmia identification, using bedside monitors with telemetry, blood pressure, and pulse oximetry capabilities
Document patient care accurately using Epic electronic health records
Float within scope to other units as needed to meet facility staffing needs
Work every other weekend as a non-negotiable scheduling requirement
Participate in emergency response team assignments during hurricane season (June through November) if applicable
Required Qualifications
Minimum of 2 years of experience in Medical Surgical / Telemetry nursing
Active South Carolina RN license or a Compact RN license must be in hand prior to start date
Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
Demonstrated experience with telemetry monitoring and interpretation of dysrhythmias
Ability to float within scope to meet facility needs
Preferred Experience / Skills
Previous experience in a community hospital setting
First-time travel nurses will be considered
