Registered Nurse – Medical Surgical / Telemetry

Schedule / Job TypeContract | Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts (6:45 PM – 7:15 AM) | Onsite
Key Responsibilities- Provide direct bedside nursing care to Medical Surgical/Telemetry patients with a 1:6 patient ratio
- Monitor and interpret telemetry, including identification and management of dysrhythmias
- Operate bedside monitoring equipment capable of telemetry, blood pressure, and pulse oximetry
- Collaborate with charge nurses and house supervisors to meet unit staffing and patient care needs
- Float within scope to other unit areas as needed to support facility requirements
- Participate in every-other-weekend rotation as a non-negotiable scheduling requirement
Required Qualifications- Minimum 2 years of Medical Surgical and/or Telemetry nursing experience
- Active South Carolina RN license or valid Compact RN license required prior to start date
- Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
- Demonstrated experience with telemetry monitoring and interpretation of dysrhythmias
- Proficiency with Epic electronic health records charting system
Preferred Experience / Skills- Prior experience in a community hospital setting
- Comfort working in a newly developed unit environment with an evolving team structure
