Registered Nurse – Medical Surgical / Telemetry

Schedule / Job TypeContract | Full-Time | Onsite | Day Shift (3x12 Hours, 6:45 AM – 7:15 PM) | Every Other Weekend Required
Key Responsibilities- Provide direct patient care on a Medical Surgical / Telemetry unit with a patient ratio of 1:5–6
- Monitor and interpret telemetry, including identification and management of dysrhythmias
- Operate bedside monitoring equipment capable of telemetry, blood pressure, and pulse oximetry
- Float within scope to other units as needed to meet facility staffing requirements
- Collaborate with charge staff and house supervisors in a unit currently expanding from the ground up
- Participate in emergency response team assignments during hurricane season (June through November) as required
Required Qualifications- Minimum of 2 years of experience in Medical Surgical / Telemetry nursing
- Active South Carolina RN license or valid Compact license required prior to start date
- Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
- Demonstrated experience with telemetry monitoring and interpretation of dysrhythmias on the unit
- Proficiency with Epic electronic health records charting system
Preferred Experience / Skills- Prior experience in a community hospital setting
- First-time travel nurses will be considered
