Registered Nurse – Medical Surgical / Telemetry (Float Pool)
Location
Philadelphia, PA
Schedule / Job Type
Contract | Full-Time | Onsite | Days (0700–1930) | 3×12-hour shifts, 36 hours per week | Every other weekend required
Key Responsibilities
Provide comprehensive patient care across multiple inpatient medical-surgical and step-down units, adapting to varying patient populations and unit workflows
Float between medical-surgical units and step-down units, as well as emergency department med-surg holds as needed
Function independently with strong clinical judgment while upholding all facility policies and safety standards
Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with established documentation standards and medication safety protocols
Adhere to attendance expectations, including availability for days surrounding scheduled holidays
Required Qualifications
Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
Minimum 2 years of Med-Surg nursing experience (new graduates not eligible)
Current BLS certification
Current NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification
Strong proficiency with EPIC electronic health records system
Ability to float comfortably between multiple units with varying acuity levels
Preferred Experience / Skills
Current ACLS certification
Current TNCC certification
Experience working in a float pool or multi-unit environment
