Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts | 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM | Every Other Weekend Rotation | Holidays as Needed

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to acutely ill medical-surgical and orthopedic patients with diagnoses including acute/chronic respiratory illness, CHF/pulmonary edema, renal failure, active GI bleeding, post-operative general surgery, GYN surgery, and total knee/hip replacements
• Monitor and manage patients presenting with arrhythmias, uncontrolled or new-onset seizures, diabetic conditions, drug overdose, and suicidal ideation
• Administer IV medication drips including Heparin and TNA in accordance with facility protocols
• Care for patients with CIWA scores below 7, stable COVID patients, and those undergoing radioactive therapy
• Float to other system campuses as needed to support staffing across the health network
• Complete unit-based orientation modules as required prior to independent practice

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license in hand at time of submission
• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience required
• Medical-surgical telemetry and telemetry experience required
• BLS certification required
• EPIC EMR experience required
• Must pass a compliance EKG exam (2 attempts allowed)
• Third-party education verification required; degrees from schools on the Florida Diploma Fraud Audit list will not be accepted
• No open background cases permitted
• Must live at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible; valid driver's license required to verify address
• Requested time off must be submitted with the application; no post-submission RTO will be accepted

Preferred Experience / Skills

• ACLS certification preferred
• NIH Stroke Scale certification preferred
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
