Key Responsibilities- Provide direct patient care on a 24-bed Medical Surgical unit with telemetry capability on all beds, with a heavy telemetry focus
- Care for adult patients; pediatric assignments are reserved for permanent staff
- Demonstrate strong Neuro and Cardiac assessment and intervention skills
- Maintain nurse-to-patient ratios of 1:5 on days and 1:6 on nights, adjusted based on acuity level
- Float to other Medical Surgical units and ICU to manage Medical Surgical overflow patients as needed
- Document and manage patient care using Sunrise Allscripts EMR; perform IV access independently as no IV team is on site
Required Qualifications- Active RN licensure in good standing
- Minimum 2 years of Medical Surgical and/or Telemetry nursing experience
- Strong proficiency in Neuro and Cardiac nursing skills
- Current ACLS certification
- Current BLS certification
- Current NIHSS certification
Preferred Experience / Skills- Current PALS certification
- Prior experience with Sunrise Allscripts EMR
