Key Responsibilities- Provide direct nursing care to adult patients on a 24-bed Medical Surgical unit with telemetry capability on all beds, with a heavy emphasis on telemetry monitoring
- Demonstrate strong Neuro and Cardiac assessment and intervention skills
- Maintain nurse-to-patient ratios of 1:5 on days and 1:6 on nights, adjusted based on acuity level
- Float to other Medical Surgical units and ICU to manage Medical Surgical overflow patients as needed
- Collaborate with on-unit support staff including telemetry techs, charge nurses, HUCs, and PCTs
- Utilize Sunrise Allscripts EMR for documentation and patient management
Required Qualifications- Active RN license with a minimum of 2 years of Medical Surgical and/or Telemetry experience
- Strong proficiency in Neuro and Cardiac nursing skills
- Current ACLS certification required
- Current BLS certification required
- Current NIHSS certification required
- Ability to float to Medical Surgical units and ICU (MS overflow patients only)
Preferred Experience / Skills- PALS certification preferred
- Prior experience with Sunrise Allscripts EMR
