Registered Nurse – Medical Surgical / Telemetry

Schedule / Job TypeContract | Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts (19:00–07:30)
Key Responsibilities- Provide direct patient care on a Medical Surgical/Telemetry unit with a focus on orthopedic and bariatric patient populations
- Administer and manage medications using the Pyxis medication dispensing system
- Monitor and assess patients requiring telemetry and cardiac observation
- Float to other like units or campuses as needed based on census demands, performing only tasks within demonstrated and documented competencies
- Complete all required pre-assignment modules and testing within 48 hours of receiving login credentials
Required Qualifications- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in South Carolina
- Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience; first-time travelers must have a minimum of 3 years of experience within the specialty
- Minimum of 1 year of recent experience with EPIC EMR
- Current ACLS certification
- Current BLS certification
- Current NIHSS certification
Preferred Experience / Skills- Experience with orthopedic and/or bariatric patient populations
- Prior travel nursing experience in a Medical Surgical or Telemetry setting
