Schedule / Job TypeContract | Night Shift | 3x12-Hour Shifts (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM) | 36 Hours per Week
Key Responsibilities- Provide direct patient care on a Medical Surgical Telemetry unit during night shift hours
- Monitor and interpret ECG cardiac rhythms and respond appropriately to changes in patient condition
- Administer medications safely and accurately in accordance with facility protocols
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to develop and implement patient care plans
- Complete required orientation assessments including ECG rhythm recognition and safeMedicate evaluations
- Participate in holiday coverage rotation, working at minimum every other holiday
Required Qualifications- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license – must hold a permanent Ohio license or a compact state license in hand at time of submission
- Minimum of 18 months of permanent Med/Surg Telemetry experience (recent experience required)
- Active AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Active AHA Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
- All required certifications must be active and in hand at time of submission; no pending certifications accepted
- One professional reference required from a manager, Assistant Nurse Manager, supervisor, or director in the applicable specialty from within the past 12 months
Preferred Experience / Skills- 18 months of Med/Surg Telemetry experience obtained within a single facility location
- Familiarity with ECG rhythm recognition and medication administration assessment tools
- Experience working in a high-acuity telemetry environment with strong cardiac monitoring skills
