Contract | Travel | Night Shift (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | 36 Hours Per Week Guaranteed | 13-Week Assignment
Key Responsibilities
Provide direct patient care on a Telemetry/Med-Surg unit serving adult and geriatric populations
Monitor and interpret telemetry and EKG readings, responding appropriately to changes in patient condition
Manage patient admissions and discharges in a timely and organized manner
Administer medications including basic cardiac drips and perform treatments per physician orders
Operate unit equipment including IV pumps, glucometers, and vital signs machines; document care using Meditech EMR
Float to Med/Surg overflow areas as needed and collaborate with charge nurses and clinical staff leads
Required Qualifications
Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
Minimum 1.5 years of experience in Medical Surgical or Telemetry nursing
Current BLS and ACLS certifications
Associate degree in Nursing (ADN) required
Ability to work every other or every third weekend (12-hour weekend shifts)
Candidates must reside 60 miles or greater from the facility to qualify for travel rates
Preferred Experience / Skills
BSN preferred
Experience with Meditech EMR
EKG interpretation skills and familiarity with common diagnoses including CHF, COPD, CKD, acute renal failure, uncontrolled diabetes, and post cardiac cath care
Team-oriented and flexible personality with strong critical thinking skills
