Travel Nurse RN - Med/Surg / Telemetry in Winchester, VA

RN – Telemetry / Med Surg (Float Pool)

Contract | 13 Weeks | Full-Time | Days, 3x12s (6:45 AM – 7:15 PM) | Onsite | Every other weekend and holiday required

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a float pool capacity, rotating across Telemetry, Med Surg, and Cardiac units as needed
• Manage an average patient ratio of 1:7 in a 495-bed, Level II Trauma Center
• Utilize EPIC EMR (required) for documentation and patient management
• Adhere to all float pool requirements, including flexibility to cover surge units
• Follow facility dress code, including navy blue scrubs

Required Qualifications

• Active Virginia RN License or Compact License
• ACLS certification (AHA only) required
• BLS certification (AHA only) required
• NIH Stroke Scale certification required
• Minimum 2 years of Telemetry / Med Surg experience with demonstrated Cardiac experience
• Previous travel nursing experience required; no block scheduling will be accommodated
• Proficiency with EPIC EMR required
• Must reside at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible

Preferred Experience / Skills

• 2+ years of Med Surg Telemetry experience in an acute care setting
• Experience floating across multiple units in a high-acuity environment
• Familiarity with Level II Trauma Center workflows
