Travel Nurse RN - Medical Intensive Care Unit - $1,724 per week in San Antonio, TX

Job Opportunity – Medical Intensive Care Unit (MICU) Registered Nurse – Texas

Start Date: August 21, 2026

Location: San Antonio, Texas

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: 12.5-hour shifts (7:00 AM - 7:30 PM or 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM), 36 guaranteed hours per week, rotating weekends (every other weekend), no call required

Highlights:

• 13-week assignment in a well-established Medical Intensive Care Unit serving a diverse patient population
• Advanced critical care environment with experience in IABP, CRRT, chest tubes, tracheostomies, intubations, central lines, and arterial lines
• Documentation system: Meditech
• Procedures include GI scopes, NG tubes, Foley catheters, and complex dressing changes
• Float requirements apply in accordance with facility policy
• Professional dress code: Navy scrubs for RNs

Requirements:

• Active Texas RN License (temporary licenses will not be accepted)
• Minimum 2-3 years of ICU experience required
• Current ACLS, BLS, and NIH Stroke Certification
• Strong critical thinking skills and ability to manage high-acuity patients
• MICU and/or MSICU background preferred
• IABP and CRRT exposure preferred
• Meditech experience preferred
