Travel Nurse RN - Medical Intensive Care Unit - $1,738 per week in Stuart, FL

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Medical Intensive Care Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: 18 months of Medical Intensive Care experience required; 2 years preferred. License: Active nursing license required. Certifications: BLS, ACLS required; NIHSS must be obtained prior to start. Must-Have: EPIC experience required. Description: Position: Registered Nurse in the Medical Intensive Care specialty. Candidates must have a minimum of 18 months of experience in Medical Intensive Care. Two years of experience is preferred. EPIC experience is a requirement for this position. Certifications must include AHA or Red Cross BLS and ACLS. Candidates must obtain NIHSS certification before starting the assignment. The nurse will float within scope to meet facility needs. The position is open to first-time travelers. All requests for time off must be included upfront with the application process. The facility is smoke-free, and all travelers must be nicotine-free, with no exceptions. A negative 10-panel drug screen, including nicotine, is required. Candidates must be able to manage critical care tasks such as interpreting dysrhythmias and caring for patients with multisystem organ dysfunction. Clinical skills including arterial line management, central line care, and care of ventilated patients are necessary. The nurse will need to interpret arterial blood gases and manage sedation and various intravenous drips. Travel candidates who remain on a continuous contract for a minimum of one year may have additional competency requirements. Modules must be completed prior to starting the assignment and are non-billable. The facility has policies regarding attendance and performance that all staff must adhere to.
