Description

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Medical Intensive Care Unit Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 18 months of Medical Intensive Care Unit experience required; 2 years preferred. License: Active Registered Nurse license Certifications: AHA or Red Cross Basic Life Support, Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (must have at the time of submission), NIH Stroke Scale (must obtain prior to start) Must-Have: Epic experience required. Description: Position available for an experienced Registered Nurse in the Medical Intensive Care Unit. Candidates must possess a minimum of 18 months of experience in a Medical Intensive Care Unit, with 2 years preferred. First-time travelers are accepted. Certifications are required: Basic Life Support and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support must be current upon submission. NIH Stroke Scale certification is required before starting. Clinicians will float within scope to meet facility needs. Position requires adherence to strict time-sensitive modules that must be prioritized. All travelers must be nicotine-free, with no exceptions. A negative 10-panel drug test including nicotine is required. This is a smoke-free facility. Team-oriented candidates are preferred, and applicants must be ready to manage a high-acuity patient population. Expectations include interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, management of patients with multi-system organ dysfunction or failure, and care for ventilated patients. Additional responsibilities include central line care and management, IV sedation, and the titration of cardiac and vasoactive drips. Candidates must be prepared to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality patient care.
