Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Intensive Care Unit Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours (18:45 - 07:15) Experience: 2 years minimum required License: Valid RN license required Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS Must-Have: Previous travel experience Proficient in Neuro Comfortable with ventilators Able to excel in a fast-paced environment Description: The Registered Nurse in the Intensive Care Unit is responsible for delivering patient care through the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. The successful candidate will coordinate all nursing care for patients based on established clinical nursing practice standards. Collaboration with other professional disciplines is essential to ensure effective and efficient patient care delivery. Contribute to the provision of quality nursing care through performance improvement techniques that demonstrate positive outcomes in patient care. Collect patients' health data and analyze assessment data to determine patient problems. Identify expected outcomes individualized to the patient and develop a comprehensive plan of care that prescribes interventions to attain expected outcomes. Implement interventions identified in the plan of care and evaluate patients' progress toward attainment of outcomes. Assist with the plan of care, evaluate, modify, and coordinate care, while communicating effectively with other disciplines. Delegate tasks to unlicensed personnel in compliance with the Board of Nursing. Conduct discharge planning and assist patients and their significant others in obtaining knowledge about illness, injury prevention, and teaching. Maintain confidentiality with all information. Perform any and all other duties as assigned.
