Travel Nurse RN - Medical Intensive Care Unit - $1,875 per week in Falls Church, VA

ICU Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: ICU Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 12-hour D/N rotation Hours per Shift: 36 Experience: 2+ years License: RN license required Certifications: BLS (AHA), ACLS Must-Have: ICU experience Description: Looking for an ICU nurse who is comfortable on a stepdown unit taking up to 3 patients. Certifications required include BLS and ACLS. Candidates must have 2+ years of experience in an ICU setting. Weekend requirements are 5 shifts every 6 weeks. Holidays will be every other holiday. First to float when needed. The unit has 24 beds and utilizes an electronic medical record system. Patient ratios on the floor are 1:3. Orientation on the unit will be 3 days. IV drips managed include insulin, cardizem, heparin, Lasix, precede, and low-dose pressors. Common types of patients include those with respiratory disease processes, neurological disorders, and chronic illnesses. Scrub colors are navy blue pants and solid navy blue or solid white tops. Long sleeve shirts under scrubs must be navy or white. Mixing and matching of scrubs is allowed.
