Description:
Orientation occurs bi-weekly.
The facility has 294 beds and is Joint Commission Accredited.
Services include cancer care, cardiac care, orthopedics, imaging, surgical services, and more.
The ICU consists of 16 beds with a patient ratio of 2:1 for ICU.
The intermediate care unit (IMU) has a patient ratio of 3:1.
Telemetry ratios are 1:5.
Equipment includes cardiac monitors, Hill-Rom Progressive Care series with bed scale, Abbott glucometers, EndoTool, Bair Hugger, TR band, Hotline 3 fluid warmer, Baxter IV pumps, and bedside dialysis capability.
The electronic health record system used is Meditech EMR.
The patient population includes adults.
Teamwork is essential for success in this role.
Common diagnoses/treatments include COPD, acute respiratory failure, DKA, sepsis, and shock.
The ideal candidate should be team-oriented, flexible, and adaptable.
An associate degree is required, with a BSN preferred.
No specific scrub colors are assigned, but artificial nails are not permitted.
