Travel Nurse RN - Medical Intensive Care Unit - $2,203 per week in Salem, MA

Job Title: Registered Nurse - Intensive Care Unit Profession: RN Specialty: ICU Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Shift Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum 2+ years of Adult ICU experience required. License: Active RN License Certifications: AHA BLS & ACLS Must-Have: - 2 years of continuous MICU experience required. - Ability to read telemetry strips required. - Floating to Medical/Surgical Units required. Description: This position is for a Registered Nurse in the Intensive Care Unit. The schedule involves working nights and every other weekend, totaling 36 hours. The unit is a Level III Trauma Center with a 20-bed Medical/Surgical ICU. Patients include adults with diagnoses such as substance abuse, psychiatric conditions, DKA, sepsis, GI bleed, respiratory failure, cardiac arrest, renal failure, and cardiogenic shock. Medical attendings and residents are present in the ICU 24 hours a day. Telemetry competency is required. The RN to patient ratio is 1:2 or 1:1 with high acuity, and 1:4 or 1:5 when floated to other Medical/Surgical areas. Experience in floating to various units is essential. The charting system used is EPIC.
