The role includes performing direct patient care activities for all age groups. Responsibilities encompass assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. The nurse monitors and coordinates patient care activities with ancillary departments. The aim is to optimize patient care and comfort. The nurse maintains professional accountability for the provision of patient care. There is a focus on evaluating the overall effectiveness of care provided by other direct care givers. Coordination of patient care with other departments is essential. Patient rights and confidentiality of patient information must be maintained.
