Travel Nurse RN - Medical Intensive Care Unit - $2,228 per week in Columbus, OH

Job Title: Medical Intensive Care Unit (MICU) Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: MICU Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum 2 years of Medical ICU experience License: Valid nursing license required Certifications: BCLS, ACLS, NIHSS Must-Have: Proficient in IV start Experience with telemetry Competency with ventilators EPIC documentation experience Description: Schedule: 3x12's / 36 hours. Schedule rotates every 4 weeks between days and nights. Estimated patient ratios: 1:1-2. Experience required includes minimum 2 years of Medical ICU experience. BCLS, ACLS, NIHSS certifications are required. Skills required include proficiency in IV start and experience with telemetry. Competency with ventilators is essential. Preferred qualifications include previous travel nursing experience. Proficiency in EPIC documentation system is preferred. Specialized experience in multisystem organ failure, respiratory failure, COVID, sepsis, post-cardiac arrest, diabetic ketoacidosis, liver failure, and renal failure is desired. Special procedures in the unit include continuous glucose monitoring for hyperglycemia and externalized IV pumps for COVID-positive patients. Special equipment knowledge includes NxStage CRRT, Alaris IV Pump, GE Cardiac Monitor, GE Ventilator, and boom lift in each patient room. Staffing and scheduling may require floating to different units as needed. Compliance with credentialing and fingerprinting processes is mandatory. Professional references are required for submission. Education must be from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program.
