Travel Nurse RN - Medical Intensive Care Unit - $2,232 per week in Rochester, NY

Job Opportunity – Medical Intensive Care Unit (MICU) RN – New York

Start Date: October 20, 2026

Schedule: 3x12 Night Shifts, 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM, every other weekend required

Highlights:

• 16-bed Medical Intensive Care Unit caring for high-acuity patients including sepsis, ARDS, respiratory failure, multi-organ failure, post-cardiac arrest with targeted temperature management, and advanced cardiac support therapies
• Nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:2 with occasional 1:1 assignments based on acuity
• Work with advanced critical care equipment including CRRT, ECMO, IABP, Impella, and EKOS
• Epic charting system experience required
• 24 hours of comprehensive orientation provided
• Strong interdisciplinary support including IV teams, respiratory services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and physical therapy

Requirements:

• Active New York RN license required prior to submission
• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience with Medical Intensive Care Unit background
• Current ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications
• Epic charting system experience mandatory
• Experience with 1:2 patient ratios in critical care settings
• Must reside more than 75 miles from facility location
• Proficiency in ventilator management, hemodynamic monitoring, titration of vasoactive and cardiac drips, arterial line management, and interpretation of dysrhythmias and ABGs
• Skills in continuous IV sedation, CRRT, central line care, and blood product administration preferred
