Schedule: 12-hour rotating day/night shifts or nights only; 2:1 patient ratio; shift assignments reviewed every 4-week scheduling period based on departmental needs
Highlights:
24-bed Medical ICU caring for adult and geriatric populations with complex, hemodynamically compromised conditions
Advanced critical care environment including mechanical ventilation, CRRT, pulmonary artery catheter placement, arterial monitoring, chemotherapy administration, and clinical trials
Epic charting system required; 72-hour orientation provided
Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, respiratory services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, physical therapy, and more
Common patient diagnoses include oncologic emergencies, COPD, pneumonia, ARDS, GI bleed, sepsis, and autoimmune disorders
Contract allows for two pre-approved time-off periods
Requirements:
Minimum 2 years of current, acute care Medical ICU experience required
Previous travel healthcare experience required; first-time travelers not accepted
Active RN license (Compact or Ohio state license in hand at time of submission)
Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
Epic charting experience required
Proficiency in ventilator management, IV starts, arterial line management, central line care, vasoactive/cardiac drip titration, and blood product administration
Nursing education from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program
2 professional references required (at least one from a manager or formal supervisor)
Ability to complete Ohio fingerprinting process urgently upon contract signing
