Travel Nurse RN - Medical Intensive Care Unit - $2,251 per week in Columbus, OH

Job Opportunity – Medical Intensive Care Unit (MICU) Registered Nurse – Ohio

Start Date: October 19, 2026
Location: Columbus, Ohio
Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants
Schedule: 3x12-hour shifts (36 hours per week), rotating day/night schedule every 4 weeks

Highlights:

• Patient ratios of 1:1 to 1:2, ensuring focused, high-quality care
• EPIC electronic medical record system utilized throughout facility
• Care for complex patient populations including multisystem organ failure, respiratory failure, sepsis, post-cardiac arrest, DKA, and renal/liver failure
• Specialized procedures including continuous glucose monitoring and externalized IV pumps for COVID-positive patients
• Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, and rapid response teams
• Advanced equipment experience with NxStage CRRT, Alaris IV pumps, GE cardiac monitors and ventilators, and boom lifts in each patient room

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of Medical ICU experience required
• EPIC charting system experience required
• Valid RN license (Compact or Ohio state license in hand at time of submission)
• Current certifications: BCLS, ACLS, NIHSS (AHA certifications only)
• Proficient in IV starts and telemetry monitoring
• Demonstrated competency with ventilator management
• Experience with care of ventilated patients, continuous IV sedation, interpretation and management of dysrhythmias
• Nursing education from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program
• Two professional references required (at least one from a manager/director or formal leadership role)
• Flu vaccine required (medical exemptions only)
• Must complete Ohio fingerprinting process immediately upon contract signing

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous travel nursing experience
• Advanced proficiency in EPIC documentation system
