Travel Nurse RN - Medical Intensive Care Unit - $2,258 per week in Rochester, NY

Job Opportunity – Medical Intensive Care Unit (MICU) RN – New York

Start Date: September 2026

Location: Upstate New York

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: 3x12 night shifts, 1900-0700, every other weekend required

Highlights:

• 16-bed Medical Intensive Care Unit with complex, high-acuity patient population including sepsis, ARDS, multi-organ failure, post-cardiac arrest care, and advanced cardiac support
• Experience with advanced therapies including CRRT, ECMO, Impella, IABP, EKOS, and targeted temperature management
• Nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:2 with occasional 1:1 assignments based on acuity
• EPIC charting system utilized facility-wide
• Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, respiratory services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and physical therapy
• 24 hours of orientation provided with billable module completion time

Requirements:

• Active New York State RN license required prior to submission
• Minimum 2 years of critical care nursing experience with 1:2 patient ratio management
• EPIC charting system experience required
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS
• Must reside more than 75 miles from the facility location
• Competencies required: dysrhythmia interpretation and management, arterial line management, central line care, continuous IV sedation, titration of vasoactive and cardiac drips, ventilator management, BiPAP/CPAP, ABG interpretation, and isolation precautions
• Experience with specialty equipment and protocols including CRRT, ECMO, pulmonary artery catheters, CVA/stroke management, and massive transfusion protocols preferred
