Travel Nurse RN - Medical Intensive Care Unit - $2,264 per week in Columbus, OH

Job Opportunity – Medical Intensive Care Unit (MICU) Registered Nurse – Ohio

Start Date: October 19, 2026
Location: Columbus, Ohio
Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants
Schedule: 3x12 hour shifts / 36 hours per week / Rotating days and nights (4 weeks days/4 weeks nights)

Highlights:

• Patient ratios of 1:1 to 1:2 ensuring quality, focused care
• EPIC charting system utilized throughout the facility
• Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, and rapid response teams
• Specialized patient population including multisystem organ failure, respiratory failure, sepsis, post-cardiac arrest, DKA, and renal failure
• State-of-the-art equipment including NxStage CRRT, Alaris IV pumps, GE cardiac monitors and ventilators, and boom lifts in each patient room
• Adult patient population in a critical care environment

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of Medical ICU experience required
• Valid RN license (Compact or Ohio state license in hand at time of application)
• EPIC charting experience required
• Current certifications: BCLS, ACLS, NIHSS (AHA certifications only)
• Proficient in IV starts and experienced with telemetry monitoring
• Competency with ventilator management required
• Experience managing patients with multisystem organ dysfunction/failure
• Skills in continuous IV sedation and interpretation/management of dysrhythmias
• Graduation from an ACEN or CCNE accredited nursing program
• Flu vaccination required (medical exemptions only)
• Two professional references required (at least one from manager/director or formal leadership)

Specialized Clinical Experience:

• Multisystem organ failure management
• Respiratory failure and ventilator management
• COVID-19 patient care
• Sepsis protocols
• Post-cardiac arrest care
• Diabetic ketoacidosis (DKA)
• Liver failure and renal failure management
• Continuous glucose monitoring for hyperglycemia
• Experience with externalized IV pumps for COVID-positive patients

• Float requirements: May be required to float to different units within the organization as needed

• Pre-approved time off: Two instances permitted
• Ohio fingerprinting process must be completed immediately upon contract signing
• Strict compliance deadline of Tuesday prior to start date
• Former employees eligible after 6 months away from facility
