Travel Nurse RN - Medical Intensive Care Unit - $2,437 per week in Salem, MA

Job Title: Registered Nurse, MICU Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: MICU Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12.5 Experience: 2+ years of Adult ICU experience required. License: Active RN License Certifications: AHA BLS & ACLS Must-Have: Continuous MICU experience required. Ability to read telemetry strips is a must. Floating required, primarily to medical/surgical units. Description: The position is for a Medical/Surgical Intensive Care Unit. We care for a wide range of adult patients with various diagnoses, including substance abuse, severe psychiatric conditions, DKA, sepsis, GI bleed, respiratory failure, cardiac arrest, renal failure, and cardiogenic shock. Attendings and residents are present in the ICU 24 hours a day. The unit consists of 20 beds. Telemetry competency is required. Shifts are rotating and may include day and night rotations. Patient-to-nurse ratio is typically 1:2 or 1:1 with high acuity and 1:4 or 1:5 when floated to other medical/surgical areas. Experience in a similar unit is preferred.
