Travel Nurse RN - Medical Intensive Care Unit - $2,437 per week in Salem, MA

Job Title: Registered Nurse - MICU Profession: RN Specialty: MICU Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 07:00 PM - 07:30 AM Hours per Shift: 12.5 hours Experience: 2+ years of adult ICU experience required, 2+ years of continuous work experience in one location, preferably in a MICU License: Active RN License required Certifications: AHA BLS & ACLS required Must-Have: Must be able to read telemetry strips Floating required, mostly to Medical/Surgical Units Telemetry competency required Rotating shifts required, with day rotators alternating between shifts RN to patient ratio of 1:2 or 1:1 with high acuity; 1:4 or 1:5 when floated to other Med/Surg areas Description: This position requires working in a Level III Trauma Center Intensive Care Unit. The unit consists of 20 beds and cares for a wide range of adult patients with various diagnoses. Conditions treated include substance abuse, severe psychiatric conditions, DKA, sepsis, GI bleed, respiratory failure, cardiac arrest, renal failure, and cardiogenic shock. Attendings and residents are present in the ICU 24 hours a day. The environment is fast-paced, and the position requires the ability to handle high-acuity patients. Candidates must be flexible with floating to other units as needed. The electronic medical record system in use is EPIC.
