Travel Nurse RN - Medical Intensive Care Unit - $2,437 per week in Salem, MA

Job Title: RN - MICU Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Intensive Care Unit Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Night Shift Hours per Shift: 12.5 Experience: 2+ Years of Adult ICU Experience Required License: Active RN License Certifications: AHA BLS & ACLS Must-Have: 2 years of continuous MICU experience required. Telemetry competency required. Description: Looking for a motivated RN with experience in the Intensive Care Unit. The unit consists of 20 beds and provides care for a variety of adult patients. Patient diagnoses include substance abuse, severe psychiatric conditions, DKA, sepsis, GI bleed, respiratory failure, cardiac arrest, renal failure, and cardiogenic shock. Staffing includes attendings and residents present in the ICU 24 hours a day. Floating to medical/surgical units may be required, handling up to 4 or 5 patients. Shifts may rotate between day and night as needed. The RN to patient ratio is 1:2 or 1:1 with high acuity and 1:4 or 1:5 when floated to other areas. Experience in a Level III Trauma Center ICU and the ability to read tele strips is essential.
