Must-Have:
- Pass an online EKG tele competency assessment before starting the assignment.
- Must be able to read and interpret strips.
- Must have travel experience and EPIC experience.
Description:
The position requires a registered nurse in a fast-paced, high-acuity ICU.
Patient ratios are targeted at 1:2-3.
Float requirements may include assignment to different units based on the needs of the facility.
Floating may involve working in high-risk respiratory units.
The nurse will provide support to the nursing care team, including managing patients with respiratory failure and sepsis.
Daily census is approximately 36 patients.
The unit consists of 40 beds and offers various bedside procedures, including endoscopy and bronchoscopy.
Special equipment utilized includes ICP monitoring, arterial lines, and other advanced monitoring devices.
The nurse must be comfortable working every other weekend and on holidays.
Cancellation of shifts due to low census is possible.
Travelers may be required to float to other facilities within a certain distance from the main facility.
The unit specifically addresses medical surgical trauma ICU cases.
Additional patient support services are available, including physical therapy and respiratory services.
Candidates must have a strong background in critical care nursing practices and procedures.
The use of navy blue scrubs is required.
Maximum of 14 days of requested time off allowed per contract.
No schedule requests or time off will be negotiated after an offer is made.
Candidates must not have any past license disciplinary actions.
