Travel Nurse RN - Medical Intensive Care Unit - $2,992 per week in Rochester, NY

Job Opportunity – Medical Intensive Care Unit (MICU) RN – New York

Start Date: September 29, 2026

Location: New York (travel assignment, must reside 75+ miles from facility)

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: 4x12 Night Shifts, 1900-0700, with every other weekend requirement. Patient ratio typically 1:2, with occasional 1:1 based on acuity.

Highlights:

• 16-bed Medical Intensive Care Unit with diverse, high-acuity patient population including sepsis, ARDS, renal failure, heart failure, multi-organ failure, post-cardiac arrest care, and more
• Advanced technology experience with CRRT, ECMO, IABP, Impella, and targeted temperature management protocols
• EPIC charting system utilized facility-wide
• 24 hours of comprehensive orientation provided
• Interdisciplinary support including IV teams, respiratory services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and more
• Contract length: 13 weeks with potential for extension

Requirements:

• Active New York RN license required in hand prior to submission
• Minimum 2 years of recent Medical Intensive Care Unit experience
• Experience with 1:2 patient ratios in critical care settings
• EPIC charting experience required
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS
• Proficiency in ventilator management, hemodynamic monitoring, arterial line management, central line care, and titration of vasoactive and cardiac drips
• Experience with continuous IV sedation, CRRT, BiPAP/CPAP management, and interpretation of arterial blood gases
• Must reside more than 75 miles from facility location
• Ability to float to other units as needed
• Limited pre-approved time off (maximum 10 days)
