Travel Nurse RN - Medical-Surgical - $1,465 per week in Denton, TX

Job Title: Travel RN Med-Surg Profession: RN Specialty: Med-Surg Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 1 year License: Valid RN License required Certifications: N/A Must-Have: Previous med/surg nursing experience in an acute care setting Preferred: Experience with Meditech Description: The position involves working in a medical unit with 43 beds. The total staff on the unit is approximately 70. Day shift typically includes 1 charge nurse, 1 unit secretary, 9-10 RNs, and 4 CNAs. Night shift includes 1 charge nurse, 9-10 RNs, and 4 CNAs. Patient ratios are 1:5-6 during the day and 1:6 at night. Types of equipment include EMR - Meditech. Any type of surgery except cardiac and open neuro surgery is performed on the unit. The ideal candidate is willing to jump in, be a team player, and can ask questions when unsure of processes. Self-scheduling is allowed within reason, and rotating weekends are required. Floating to medical units and ER for med/surg hold nurse capabilities may be necessary. Scrub color/attire is royal blue scrubs.
