Travel Nurse RN - Medical-Surgical - $1,465 per week in Lewisville, TX

Job Title: Travel Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Med Surge Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Shift Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 1 year License: Active RN License Certifications: BLS Must-Have: Candidates must have the following skills to be considered for the role: BLS 2 years Med Surge experience Description: Travel RN position available for Med Surge unit. The unit consists of 32 beds. There is a mix of RN, LVN, and PCT staff. The night shift typically has 1 Charge Nurse, 4-5 Nurses (RN/LVN mix), and 2-3 PCTs. The patient ratio is 1 nurse per 6 patients. The unit is equipped with Baxter IV pumps and Welch Allyn vital signs machines. The electronic medical record system is Meditech. Floating may occur to a sister department or Inpatient Rehab as needed. Typical procedures performed include patient ambulation and wound care as needed. The ideal candidate will possess a positive attitude and be a team player. There is a strong department culture where staff support one another during busy shifts. An admission/discharge team is available to assist with the workflow for Med Surge patients.
