Number of Beds - 30
Day Shift: 1 charge nurse, 4-5 RNs if unit census supports.
2 Patient Care Technicians, 1 Health Unit Coordinator.
1-3 Sitters.
Night Shift: 1 charge nurse, 4-5 RNs if unit census is full.
2 Patient Care Technicians, 1-3 Sitters depending on patient population.
Patient Ratios: 6-1
Type of Equipment: Hoyer lifts, Sara steady, bladder scanners
EMR: Meditech
On Call Requirement: None
Floating Requirement: Per the needs of the facility
Typical Hiring Profile:
Most recruited for: Travel RNs, local CNAs, and Sitters.
Preferred or nice to have: Medsurg/ acute care experience; previous experience in a healthcare setting.
List of Typical Procedures Performed On Unit:
Post surgical - Cholecystectomy, cystoscopy with stent placement, pain management, CIWA patients.
